Learning organization Essay

Marquardt (2002, p. 211) presented 16 step necessary to build a larn organization. A closer look at our organization revealed that there is still so much to learn and change. Using Marquardts metaphor, our organization is still in the kat stage, earthbound and non tuition (p. 235). The major challenge property our go with in this status scum bag be linked to only 2 things, attitude of employees and lead style. Unfortunately, the 16 stairs proposed by Marquardt boil down to these cardinal things.Employees have negative view close to change. They are not willing to forego their comfort zones, take risks or localize to transforming the company. They lack the motivation to educate, improve and turn out themselves professionally. The old, tested way of doing things re importants the norm. However, the more than disturbing fact is the lack of drive from the leaders. Based on Marquardts discussion, the main effort for change should come from the top, from the leaders.Presentl y, the leadership style in the company does not cater to the privations of a learning organization. The organizational culture does not adorn the empoyees to express their creativity or look their potentials. In short, our organization is 16 go away from transformation. Based on the guidelines, to final result change, the leaders need to recognize their enjoyment as the agents of change. According to Marquardts book, The prototypal step is for leadership to commit themselves to transforming the company into a learning organization (p. 210). onwards that could happen, leaders should first of all need to recognize the need to transform our computed axial tomography ways to that of a butterfly. This step corresponds to the world of an organizational vision. The company needs a more dynamic, interesting, inspiring vision to slide by both leaders and employees stimulated into transforming and alter the company as well as creating an environment for continious learning.
